Last Wednesday we were rushing around putting the final touches on our “Cheers to Our Volunteers” Sundowner — and what a night it was! 🎉✨
We were thrilled to co-host the evening with fellow non-profits Give Write and Loop Upcycling and honestly, collaborating with fellow charities was one of the most meaningful parts of the night — because when community organisations come together, we can share resources, strengthen connections, and create something bigger than any one of us could do alone.
Held as part of National Volunteering Week, the Sundowner was our way of saying a huge thank you to the incredible volunteers who help power 12 Buckets. From our volunteer mentors, to the wonderful people who donate their time at Telethon Community Cinemas on our behalf — we’re so grateful for everything you do.
Thanks to a joint $3,000 grant from Volunteering WA and Lotterywest, we were able to create a truly special celebration. Volunteers enjoyed fresh woodfired pizza from Spin Catering and homemade thank-you cookies from Chris’ Kitchen.
Our CEO, Larissa, opened the night and we also heard from Oliver — one of our staff members and a former 12 Buckets participant — who shared the impact our program has had on his life.
