The journey continues beyond the 12 Buckets room
Big Buckets is an initiative that commenced in 2018 and is designed to make sure that the good work forged in the 12 Buckets program continues to build and prosper as a young person moves into higher education.
There are so many ways that the young people in ‘Big Buckets’ can maintain a relationship with their mentor in a relaxed and fun environment. As new challenges arise, it is important to ensure that we continue to support our high school students as they navigate the path to adulthood.
A mentoring program that extends into high school
The Big Buckets program consists of:
- Peer support program with a focus on students building supports with their peers
- Opportunities for students to build on Leadership skills
- Increasing their connection and knowledge of their local community
The program is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our Big Buckets, our vision is that the program will continue to become what our students want and need it to be. We strive for a closed loop process with the hope that our Big Buckets will one day become the mentors of the young kids that come after them.
Opportunity for growth – The 12 Buckets Future Leaders Program
The 12 Buckets Future Leaders Program has a clear purpose: to enable young people to build a strong future and fulfil their potential while giving back to their community and becoming positive role models.
Being part of the Future Leader’s program empowers students to know that they can make positive changes in their local community.
How can I get involved?
We would love to hear from you if you feel you’d make a great group mentor for our high school students. We want our former 12 Buckets kids to reach their full potential in adulthood, you can be a part of that journey.
The Big Buckets program runs weekly on a Tuesday afternoon from 3.30pm – 5.00pm.
