OUR IMPACT
12 Buckets is a shining light for kids in schools
“The 12 Buckets program has been a transformative addition to our school community. With 50% of our students participating, it provides invaluable, consistent support that fosters their personal and social growth. Once a child joins, they remain in the program throughout their schooling, building strong, lasting connections and skills.
My teachers report that after their 12 Buckets session, students return to the classroom calm and happy, ready to engage and learn. The program has truly made a positive difference in their overall well-being and classroom dynamics.”
– Katherine Chivers, Principal at Waddington Primary School
Our guiding principles and network of generous volunteers and mentors enable us to lift up the young people within our schools and give them the support they need to contribute positively in our society.
Without this support, our impact would not be possible.

Measure our impact—ask our young people!
Our programs are embedded in seven government partner schools located across the Balga, Girrawheen, and Koondoola suburbs in Perth.
- The biggest compliment is that students in our programs don’t want to leave.
- They rarely miss school on the days they have 12 Buckets sessions.
- Many refer their friends to join the program.
- An hour-long session flies by, and they always want more time.
- Students eagerly wait for school holidays to end so they can return to 12 Buckets and see their mentors.
“12 Buckets has been life-changing for my child. The program gave them a safe space to grow, build confidence, and form meaningful connections. Watching them thrive and develop resilience has been incredible. I’m so grateful for the mentors and the support they’ve provided—it’s made a lasting impact on our family plus our youngest child now wants to join!.”

“I have been a mentor for 3 years and I love the 1 hour a week I spend with my ‘kids’. It is a joy and privilege seeing them grow into themselves year after year.”
