Looking for a way to support 12 Buckets and fundraise at the same time? Then volunteering at Telethon Community Cinemas, for the season, might be the perfect solution. By volunteering on behalf of 12 Buckets at Telethon Community Cinemas, you are helping raise funds for us, so we are able to continue to deliver our mentoring program. Volunteering at Telethon Community Cinemas is a fun and easy way to support 12 Buckets.
12 Buckets helps local children to flourish regardless of background or circumstance. It has been identified that some school students in educationally disadvantaged areas show less resilience at school due to adverse childhood experiences or trauma. Through our mentoring programs, our volunteer mentors, help identify a child’s spark, and then, seek to strengthen and grow that spark to help foster resilience and confidence.
12 Buckets is a place for connection and a place to be challenged to grow. It is a safe space for kids to take a break, focus on themselves, dream big and know anything is possible.
Telethon Community Cinemas has four locations:
Bassendean, Burswood, Murdoch, Joondalup
Each location has slightly different opening and closing dates – which are listed below:
Murdoch: 14 November 2024 – 26 April 2025
Joondalup: 16 November 2024 – 26 April 2025
Burswood: 27 November 2024 – 26 April 2025
Bassendean: 5 December 2024 – 12 April 2025
What do you need?
- No experience – you’ll be taught everything.
- 1 night per fortnight. That’s about 10 nights total for the season. If you can’t manage that, or want to do more, that’s ok too!
- We take the safety of our vollies and patrons very seriously, and are fully stocked with safety gear, and sweet, outdoor fresh air.
- You must be 16+ to volunteer. (Under 18s will need a parent or guardian’s consent.)
